Objective
|
To provide financial assistance to perform last funeral rites in the event of demise of the Old Age, Widow and Destitute Pensioner.

Amount of assistance
|
₹ 15,000/- as Funeral Expenses.
|

|
Eligibility
|
- The pensioner should have been under the care and maintenance of the applicant at the time of his/her death and incurred expenses towards his/her funeral.
- Should apply on or before 60 days from the date of death of pensioner
- If the deceased has not received the pension for more than 3 months prior to his/ her death, the application for grant of funeral expenses shall not be entertained.
- No payment shall be made if he/ she has received similar assistance from any other Department.

Certificates to be enclosed
|
- Original Pension Identity Card of the pensioner.
- Original Death Certificate of the pensioner issued by the Competent authority.
- Certificate/ documents to establish the relationship between the deceased and the applicant.
- Certificate from concerned Anganwadi Worker/ Local Panchayat President or any other responsible person of the society.
- Ration Card, Election ID and Aadhar copies of both
- Bank statement copies of the pensioner.
